Mitsoh | Traditional Pemmican & Dry Meat Snacks

Project Note

Mitsoh’s Shopify rebuild went beyond design. It included a full review and restructure of the brand’s ecommerce foundation, including newly re-branded 2.0 product setup, subscription cleanup, bundle fuctionality, bilingual content, wholesale considerations and app cleanup. Our goal was to create a stronger, more scalable online store that could support the brand’s next stage of growth across both retail and wholesale channels.

Project details

Package: Semi-Custom Shopify Website Rebuild

Timeline: 6 Weeks

The Mitsoh Story: Mitsoh is an Indigenous-owned Canadian meat snack company offering protein-rich pemmican, grass-fed beef sticks, and dry bison meat inspired by tradition, quality, and connection to the land.

As the brand prepared for its next phase of growth, Mitsoh needed a stronger Shopify website that could better support retail customers, wholesale buyers, subscriptions, bundles, bilingual shopping, and long-term ecommerce operations. The previous site no longer reflected the brand’s direction or the level of functionality required behind the scenes.

Halo Creatives partnered with Mitsoh to rebuild the online store from the ground up, creating a more strategic, polished, and functional Shopify experience designed to support both customer-facing storytelling and operational growth.

The Problem (old website):

  • Mitsoh’s existing website no longer reflected the quality, story, and growth stage of the brand

  • The product structure needed to be rebuilt for a simplified shopping experience

  • Subscriptions required a cleaner setup and stronger integration with the storefront

  • Wholesale and retail purchasing needed clearer separation and functionality

  • The site needed to support both English and French Canadian customers

  • Legacy products, apps, subscriptions, URLs, and backend workflows created complexity before launch

  • The brand needed a smoother ecommerce foundation for future growth, support, and operational efficiency

The Solution:

  • Rebuilt the Shopify storefront with a stronger visual direction, clearer product structure, and more strategic customer journey

  • Created new product pages for pemmican, grass-fed beef sticks, dry bison meat, bundles, and wholesale formats

  • Integrated Recharge subscriptions with custom PDP messaging and subscription-specific setup

  • Added Fast Bundles functionality to support preset bundle purchasing

  • Supported bilingual English and French content through Shopify Translate & Adapt

  • Reviewed and cleaned up legacy products, apps, redirects, and backend settings

  • Set up and reviewed Google Search Console, sitemap visibility, indexing concerns, and SEO-related launch items

  • Supported wholesale/B2B configuration for customer-specific ordering workflows

  • Provided launch preparation, QA, troubleshooting, and post-launch support

The Outcome:

  • A stronger Shopify website that better reflects Mitsoh’s brand, products, and Indigenous-owned story

  • A cleaner shopping experience across pemmican, beef sticks, dry bison meat, bundles, and wholesale products

  • Improved subscription presentation and Recharge integration for recurring customers

  • A more organized backend structure to support ongoing operations

  • Bilingual website content for English and French Canadian customers

  • A launch-ready ecommerce foundation that supports retail, wholesale, subscriptions, bundles, and future growth

  • A long-term support relationship to help Mitsoh continue improving the site after launch
